Stretch Mark Removal

What Are Stretch Marks?

A form of depressed streaks or skin scarring which usually occur around breast, butt, hips and thighs abdominal area, lower back and stomach. The middle dermis of the skin maintains the elasticity and shape of the skin but when it is being stretched more than it could endure fibres in the dermis breaks under extreme stretch; which disturbs the production of collagen –it results in scaring the skin

In simple words stretch marks are scars on the skin that appear because of skin tearing as the body grows. Stretch marks are associated with body changes due to obesity, pregnancy, weight gain, puberty and other extreme physical activities.

Causes of Stretch Marks

Not only women but men also are victims of stretch marks. There are multiple causes of scaring; few of them are as under:

1. Weight training:

When extreme workouts with weights are carried out for muscle building; there is an obvious possibility that body’s capacity to build up muscles are low and building of muscle mass stretches the skin outside its limit. This is one of the most common causes behind stretch marks in men.

2. Obesity:

Turning out obese eventually results in breaking down the skin, as the skin suffers from the increasing size and stretched body. Even if you lose weight after being obese the stretch masks will remain as it is because they are not cured naturally.

3. Pregnancy:

Pregnancy is the most common and natural phenomena that result in stretch marks. As the belly grows more than its capacity during pregnancy it tears the skin resulting in permanent marks on the belly.

4. Puberty

The body grows during puberty which results in stretch marks because the skin cannot cope up with this body growth. It isn’t necessary that everyone experience stretch marks during puberty.

Can You Get Rid Of Stretch Marks Naturally?

Stretch marks occur due to damage in the inner dermis of the skin. In order to heal the scars you need to treat the inner dermis of the skin and for that, you might have tried home remedies. But all these home remedies may have helped you in making the stretch marks less obvious. At times the stretch marks fade away with time but not in all cases; this maybe a reason why people believe that they disappear due to home remedies.

How To Prevent Stretch Marks?

Prevention is better than cure, so it is better to take precautionary steps rather than considering treatments after stretch marks. Give your body the nourishment required for a healthy skin; then only the body from inside and outside will be well prepared for the growing process.

Once they start appearing you should double the care. Massage regularly the affected area to supply enough moisture to the dermis of the skin so that it can maintain its elasticity. If you don’t take care of them in the initial stages then they will turn into a bluish and greyish colour. Then stretch mark removal gets really hard; as laser treatments become the only option for treatments.
